Hermione is often drawn to the past. She is inspired by historical literature, other worldly paintings and the sense of transient time. Her images are often unplaceable in terms of when they were taken.
Thomas’ photography is rooted in his relationship with the outdoors. Living in the city and from a farming background, he constantly feels the pull of rural or semi-rural places and hopes to capture something of this in his work.
Katy’s images aim to capture the light of the seasons as they pass year by year. She has an enduring love of Cornwall and her first love is film photography. She is never without a roll of 35mm film and a rather heavy canon camera.

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.” Don McCullin

“I love working with film, for the way it captures colour and the depth of light. In a world where everything is immediate, there is something special about working with a format that takes time to process. It forces me to slow down and to think carefully about each frame. It isn’t cheap, but the results are always worth it.”
